On October 16, 2016, the two-day training of Language Practice-Based Teaching Phase II, organized by Language Big Data Alliance (LBDA) was successfully completed at the School of Foreign Languages of Xidian University. The training lectures were delivered respectively by Xu Yanan, Former Chinese Ambassador and Director of Chinese Translation Service of Documentation Division of UN-Department for General Assembly and Conference Management; Luo Hongyan, Senior Translation Reviewer of China Translation Corporation (hereinafter referred to as CTC); Wang Xuewen, Former President of the School of International Exchange - University of International Business and Economics; and Xu Lixin, Former Vice Dean of the School of English for Specific Purposes - Beijing Foreign Studies University. About 40 teachers and over 10 MTI graduate students from 11 foreign language schools in Shaanxi Province participated in the training.

Mr. Ni Yongjian, Shaanxi Regional Manager of Global Tone Communication Technology Co., Ltd., one of the organizers of this training course, introduced the cooperation between universities and enterprises, including Language Big Data Alliance, translation teaching laboratories jointly built by universities and enterprises, translation big data, intelligent multimedia translation platform, etc.
